Frances L. Wagoner

Frances L. Wagoner, age 82, of WaKeeney, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Trego Manor in WaKeeney. She was born June 27, 1930 in rural Gove County, the daughter of Nichlos and Thersia (Shuster) Kaiser.

Frances was a 1948 graduate of Collyer High School. On April 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Anthony Wagoner in Angelus, Kansas. He preceded her in death. Frances was a proud homemaker who had a very close and loving relationship with her family. She cherished time spent traveling and going out dancing with LeRoy; they could be seen moving across the dance floor in perfect synch doing the jitterbug. To say Frances was a master of crossword puzzles would be an understatement; she had it down to a science. Her relationship with God was very important to her as she always had a rosary nearby. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and altar society.

Frances will be dearly missed by many friends and family, including: two sons Jerold (Stacy)Wagoner of Haxtun, Colorado and Edward (Marjorie) Wagoner of Newcastle, Wyoming; three daughters Illa (Dennis) Woodard of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Donna (Val) Reiss of Weskan, Kansas, and Sandra (Randy) Cline of WaKeeney, Kansas; eighteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; twin children Lyle Allen and Linda Elaine Wagoner; two brothers John N. Kaiser and Ferdinand C. Kaiser; and two sisters Rose M. Bird and Mary E. Conard.

A mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church of WaKeeney with Fr. Don Pfannenstiel and Fr. Kevin Weber as concelebrants. Burial will take place at a later date.

There will be no visitation as her body was cremated.

A parish vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Schmitt Funeral Home of WaKeeney.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, Memorial contributions are suggested to Christ the King Catholic Church (special needs fund) or Trego Manor and may be sent in care of Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 North 12th, WaKeeney, KS 67672.

Words of support and sympathy may be sent to the family by clicking sign guest book or send private condolence above. .
